Looks Can Be Deceiving
Now for something you may not want to show to your children. Wonder Showzen, produced by MTV, is a satire of children's shows, and in fact looks like one on the surface. However, that does not make it a children's show itself. The absurdist humour would not only be inappropriate for younger people, it would just be confusing. The references that appear on Wonder Showzen may just go over their heads anyway. Below is a scene that illustrates what to expect from the show (this one's not too damaging, I promise). [*]
We can see here that even the children in this clip use crude humour, which is surprising to say the least. Needless to say, on a scale on 1 to 10 in terms of appropriate/inappropriate, this show would rank quite low. While it may prove to be humourous (if not surreal) for adults, it definitely would be irresponsible to let your let your children watch this. I would rank it lower if it weren't for the eye-catching disclaimer at the beginning:
"WARNING: WONDER SHOWZEN CONTAINS OFFENSIVE, DESPICABLE CONTENT THAT IS TOO CONTROVERSIAL AND TOO AWESOME FOR ACTUAL CHILDREN. THE STARK, UGLY, PROFOUND TRUTHS WONDER SHOWZEN EXPOSES MAY BE SOUL CRUSHING TO THE WEAK OF SPIRIT. IF YOU ALLOW A CHILD TO WATCH THIS SHOW, YOU ARE A BAD PARENT OR GUARDIAN."
